PARIS — The Danville girls basketball team were able to start the season on the right foot on Monday.
The Vikings pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat Charleston 45-34 in the North American Lighting Tournament.
Jada Bell led Danville with 17 points, while Ashanti Conaway had 14 points and Amara McFarland added 11 points.
The Vikings will return to Paris on Wednesday to face the host Tigers for a 6:45 p.m. matchup.
