WESTVILLE — The Westville football team continued to hold its grip on the Coal Bucket on Friday with a 63-14 win over Georgetown-Ridge Farm/Chrisman.
The game was a showcase for the Tigers’ offense as Jaden Whorrall had 171 yards rushing for three touchdowns, while Easton Bolin passing for 247 yards with two touchdown passes.
Landen Coon ran for 43 yards and a score and caught six passes for 198 yards and another score, while Connor Coon ran for 38 yards and a score, Liam Hughes ran for 26 yards, Bolin ran for 22 yards, Garrett Hatcher ran for 13 yards and two scores and Easton Barney had three catches for 28 yards and a score.
With the win, the Tigers get their first win of the season after starting the season with three close losses and will play Oakwood next week. The Buffaloes are 0-4 and will take on Hoopeston Area/Armstrong-Potomac next week.
