CLINTON, Ind. — Parker Weir struck out 15 to lead the South Vermillion Wildcats past the Fountain Central Mustangs in Wabash River Conference baseball.
Weir didn’t allow a hit over 6.2 innings as Fountain Central’s Wyatt Clark delivered a hit in the seventh off of South Vermillion reliever Mason Winters to snap the no-hit bid by the Wildcats.
Ayden Batchelor took the loss for Fountain Central in spite of holding South Vermillion to six hits in six innings and striking out seven.
