Carson Ohnstad, a senior standout on the Waseca boys basketball team, helped the Bluejays to a special 32-win season this winter that culminated in a trip to the Class AA championship game over the weekend.
Ohnstad, a two-time All-Big South Conference selection, averaged 15.2 points per game this season, while shooting 35% from beyond the arc. He scored 31 points in a game against Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman earlier this season.
Ohnstad finishes his career with 1,141 points, 301 rebounds and 203 assists. He ranks 15th on the Bluejays’ all-time scoring list.
Next year, Ohnstad, a wide receiver and defensive back, will attend Southwest Minnesota State to play football.
