A Saturday morning traffic stop by a Gloucester Police sergeant resulted in the arrest of three people on charges of trafficking fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine, and the seizure of a hangun and more than 1,600 pills.
Those arrested and the charges are:
— Haley Hart-Labrie, 31, of Gloucester, five counts of possession of a Class B substance, trafficking in fentanyl over 100 grams, trafficking in methamphetamine over 200 grams, trafficking in cocaine over 36 grams, and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
— Eglisard Cela, 37, of Peabody, driving under the influence of drugs, three counts of possession of a Class B substance, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an firearms identification card, conspiracy to violate drug laws, trafficking in fentanyl over 36 grams, trafficking in methamphetamine over 200 grams, trafficking in cocaine over 36 grams, and possession of a Class A substance.
Paul Fagundes, 30, of Salem, nine counts possession of a Class B substance, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without an firearms identification card, trafficking in cocaine over 36 grams, trafficking in methamphetamine over 200 grams, trafficking in fentanyl over 100 grams and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
All three are being held without bail pending arraignment Monday in Gloucester District Court.
According to Gloucester Police, Sgt. Sean Conners, patrolling the Harold Avenue area, saw a driver acting acting suspiciously and stopped the vehicle Saturday around 7 a.m. During that stop the driver, later identified as Cela, was found by police to be impaired and was taken into custody.
During a subsequent search of the vehicle Cela was driving, police said they located a handgun, 1,626 pressed tablets of methamphetamine, approximately 97 grams of crystal methamphetamine, approximately 168 grams of fentanyl, approximately 44 grams of cocaine, a scale, pipes, and approximately $4,000 cash.
Cela’s passengers, Hart Labrie and Fagundes, were taken into custody after the scene after the vehicle was searched.
Sgt. Joseph Balbo and Officers Jared Foote, Patrick Hunt, Kaylen Koller and Jason Quinn assisted at the scene.
