DERRY, N.H. – The Timberlane High boys and the Salem High girls wrestling teams captured team titles during Saturday’s Meet of Champions held at Pinkerton Academy High. This marked the 26th MOC title for the Owls, and it’s the first for the Blue Devil’s girls’ team.
Timberlane had three grapplers advance to the finals, but just Ben Mann (113) came out with the title, winning his second straight. Both Matt Boucher (106) and Jason O’Brien (165) finished second.
Pinkerton Academy’s Lance Bordeleau was the other champion, winning the 132-pound division with a victory over Salem’s Caleb O’Rourke.
The other finalists were: Salem’s Evan Lynch (120), Spencer Buscema (126) and Talen Walton (138); Pinkerton’s Carter Mayotte (150) and Anthony Caruso (215); and Pelham’s Billy Nicolls (190).
On the female side, Salem’s trio of Kallie Chandler (100), Ella Parisi (107) and Keira Lynch (132) all took home titles, as did Pelham’s Liz Donovan (132), who captured her fourth straight.
