Janelle Douglas is “always willing to help,” said Robert Hill, founder and president of Dalton’s Greater Works.
Founded in 1996, Dalton’s Greater Works provides services to homeless people and indigent people in the community, including through a food pantry and a clothing “store” where those in need can get clothing.
Hill said that Douglas has worked “with our clients choice food pantry every Tuesday evening for the past 13 years.”
“She is very faithful, always willing to help our clients make wise food choices,” he said. “Her husband, W.C. Douglas, has also helped at times in the pantry.”
In addition to her volunteer efforts at Dalton’s Greater Works, Douglas is an active member of Dalton’s Church on the Hill.
For her efforts to keep Dalton’s Greater Works’ food pantry available to serve those in need, the Dalton Daily Citizen names Janelle Douglas Citizen of the Week.
