The Crossville-Cumberland County Chamber of Commerce is seeking outgoing individuals looking to make new connections and connect others for its Chamber Ambassador program.
Chamber ambassadors volunteer their time to help the Crossville and Cumberland County business community and support Chamber functions. They help promote the Chamber, welcome new members and work to make Chamber events successful and enjoyable for all in attendance.
Ambassadors volunteer about three or four hours a month. The ideal candidate has a lively, engaging personality; can make people feel comfortable and welcome; projects a positive image for their company and the Chamber; enjoys having fun in a professional environment; has confidence to make personal contact with any Chamber member; and encourages others to become members of the Chamber.
They commit to participation at ambassador meetings, as well as attend Chamber ribbon cuttings, grand openings, programs and other events. They assist with member retention and greet new Chamber members and introduce them to other members at Chamber events.
Ambassadors become familiar with the Chamber, its staff, committees and benefits, and act as contacts for new and existing members to help them best utilize their membership. They also encourage members to attend Chamber events, programs and to get involved.
Each ambassador serves a one-year term, from July to June. They can apply for renewal annually, with no limit on the number of times they can apply for renewal.
Contact Melanie Graham at 931-484-8444 or melanie.graham@crossville-chamber.com for information or an application.
All applications will be reviewed by the Chamber vice chair for membership.
