A balanced offense and outstanding defense helped the Oneonta girls basketball team defeat Owego Free Academy 38-29 at home on Tuesday.
Eight different players scored points for the Yellowjackets, while the defense held OFA to just 15 points through the first three quarters.
Selene Wellman and Jordan Bellinger each scored eight points in the win, with Bellinger adding five rebounds. Hayden LeFever grabbed 10 boards and Kylie Carr had nine.
Oneonta (3-1) will host Cobleskill-Richmondville on Saturday.
Laurens/Milford 41, Schenevus 32
Laurens/Milford took down Schenevus at home on Tuesday 41-32 to pick up a key Tri-Valley League victory.
Kyrah Andrades notched a double-double in the win, finishing with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Brooke Mann also scored 12 points to go with seven rebounds and Bella Garlick registered 10 points and seven steals.
Sam Barrett led Schenevus with a game-high 15 points.
L/M (2-2) will visit South Kortright on Thursday while Schenevus (3-2) will host Gilbertsville-Mount Upton on Friday.
Hamilton 42, Cooperstown 34
Cooperstown fell to Hamilton 42-34 on the road Tuesday.
Emma Johnson led the Hawkeyes with 13 points and five rebounds and Brenna Seamon finished with 12 points, five rebounds and four assists.
Cooperstown (3-2) will be at Frankfort-Schuyler on Thursday.

The Worcester boys defeated rival Schenevus 55-49 at home on Tuesday in a Tri-Valley League matchup.
Matthew Sanders had a dominant game for the Wolverines, scoring 24 points and grabbing 17 rebounds to notch a double-double.
Alex Adams added 15 points in the win while Ryan Prince had seven points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals.
Leading Schenevus in scoring were Allen Osborne with 19 points, Jackson Reed with 15 and Ethan Reed with nine.
Worcester (5-2) will visit Edmeston on Thursday while Schenevus (2-3) will be at Gilbertsville-Mount Upton the same day.
