OAKLAND — Demi Ross went 4 for 4, leading No. 3 Northern to a 10-2 win at Southern on Friday.
Ross hit four singles and stole three bases for the Huskies (12-4, 4-3 Western Maryland Athletic Conference).
Madysen Gilpin, Alex Fike and Ady Uphold each had a pair of hits.
Rain Ritchey went the distance, allowing one earned run on four hits and five walks while striking out 10 for Northern.
Adeline Wilson had two of the Rams’ (11-7, 2-6 WestMAC) four hits including a double.
Northern hosts Albert Gallatin (Pa.) on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
Southern’s regular season ends on Saturday against Hampshire.
No. 4 Mountain Ridge 13, Clear Spring 1
CLEAR SPRING — No. 4 Mountain Ridge’s eight-run fifth inning led the Miners past Clear Spring in five innings on Friday.
Jaianna Wickline, Anne Baker, Macy Barth and Maci Beeman all drove in runs off singles in the fifth.
Wickline and Kayden Wilson each had two hits and two RBIs for Mountain Ridge.
Destinee Johnson earned the win, allowing one unearned run off three hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
The Miners (10-7) end the regular season at home against No. 2 Allegany (14-3) on Monday at 4:30 p.m.
St. James 10, Fort Hill 0
HAGERSTOWN — Florida Atlantic commit Lily Schlotterbeck held Fort Hill to one hit, leading St. James to a five-inning shutout on Friday.
Schlotterbeck allowed one hit and five walks while striking out 12.
Everett Sechler hit a three-run home run in the second for St. James.
Nakiah Dunn’s single in the second was the only hit for the Sentinels (5-13).
Pendleton County 11, East Hardy 3
FRANKLIN, W.Va. — Avery Townsend’s big day at the plate led Pendleton County over East Hardy on Friday.
Townsend went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, two walks and three stolen bases.
She hit a two-run inside-the-park home run in the fifth that ended the game.
The Cougars (1-17) were held to four hits by four players.
