NORTH MANKATO — The North Mankato City Council will hold a public hearing Monday night on its proposed budget and five-year capital improvement plan.
The truth in taxation hearing is 7 p.m. in the council chambers at the municipal building.
A home valued at about $289,000 would see a tax increase of less than $30 for 2025.
The 2025 tax levy is estimated at $9.58 million which is a 9.49% increase and amounts to approximately $831,000 in new revenue for the city.
The general fund levy for 2025 would increase by about $160,439. The Port Authority debt service fund and tax abatement levy would stay about the same. The capital levy would increase by about $670,358.
