BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. — Frankfort scored the game’s first 52 points, including 28 in the first quarter, as the No. 2 Falcons trounced Berkeley Springs, 52-7.
It took the Falcons (8-0) just 16 seconds to take the lead for good as Uriah Cutter connected with Jacob Nething on a 52-yard touchdown pass. Rhett Sensabaugh booted the first of his six point-after tries.
Jullian Pattison doubled Frankfort’s lead at the 9:15 mark on a 1-yard plunge.
Carder Shanholtz made it 21-0 on a 36-yard scamper at 5:49.
Braydn Tyler picked off a pass on the ensuing Berkeley Springs drive and returned it 27 yards for a score 41 seconds after Shanholtz’s TD.
The Falcons got two more scores in the second, the first coming on a 4-yard run by Blake Jacobs. Keiton Nester returned an interception 24 yards for a touchdown 15 seconds later.
Sensabaugh booted a 34-yard field goal with 1:49 to go before halftime, when Frankfort led 45-0.
After a scoreless third quarter, Corbin Stone had Frankfort’s final score on a 1-yard run, with Jesus Perdew booting the PAT.
The Indians ended the Falcons’ hope for a shutout with a 28-yard touchdown pass from Aiden Cane to Kyle Moore with 4:25 to play. Adam Rippeon booted the PAT.
Frankfort travels to Grafton (3-5) next week.
