DANVILLE — The ultimate goal for every team is the NJCAA Division II National Championship this week on the Dick Shockey Court at the Mary Miller Center.
But what happens when fall in the championship bracket?
Teams get an chance to play in the consolation bracket and for the Bryant & Stratton Bobcats, that opportunity turned into the program’s first-ever win in the National Tournament on Thursday when it defeated the SUNY-Orange Colts 72-68.
Sophomore Keith Robinson scored 17 of his game-high 26 in the first half for the Bobcats, while Jabi Alberto contributed 16 in the victory.
Jabari Phillip led SUNY-Orange with 20 points, followed by Daniel Lans and Mathew Sliva with 13 each.
