Two new traffic signals are scheduled to be activated Wednesday along state Routes 104 and 93 at the intersections of Townline and Plank roads in the towns of Lockport and Cambria, the state Department of Transportation announced.
The traffic signals will operate in flashing mode through March 11. Flashing yellow indications will be on Route 104, while flashing red indications will be on Townline Road (at Warrens Corners), and North Ridge and Plank roads (at Molyneaux Corners).
A flashing yellow light means caution — slow down, look and proceed with care. A flashing red light means come to a complete stop and proceed only when the way is clear.
The traffic signal at Townline Road will be fully activated in three-color operation on March 12, while the traffic signal at Plank Road will remain as a flashing signal, NYSDOT said.
Motorists are advised to use caution when approaching the two new signals as traffic adjusts to the new traffic patterns.
