The theme of neighbors helping neighbors resonated at the Fairfield Glade Rotary Club meeting on Thursday, July 23. Pat Vincent, Rotary Club president, introduced Holly Neal, executive director of the Cumberland County United Fund, who provided a brief history of the Fairfield Glade Door-to-Door Campaign.
Since the 1990s, the United Fund has conducted a door-to-door campaign, raising between $60,000 to $70,000 in recent years. This funding has allowed the United Fund to partner with local non-profit agencies that offer critical services to those in greatest need.
The Rotary Club of Fairfield Glade assisted the Cumberland County United Fund with preparation for its annual door-to-door campaign by folding, collating and stuffing envelopes for the mail-out portion of the drive. Three hundred envelopes were hand-addressed and are now ready to be mailed.
Look for your opportunity to donate. Your money not only stays in Cumberland County but also is the key to progressing toward a healthy, financially stable and educated community through our partner agencies.
If you don’t receive a letter, a neighbor may knock on your door asking for a donation, or you can donate online at www.cumberlandunitedfund.org or by mailing a check to:
