MANKATO — The 28-game slate has been revealed for Minnesota State men’s basketball’s 2026-27 campaign.
The Mavericks, fresh off a 21-12 overall record and a 13-9 mark in NSIC play, will have 13 home games this upcoming season.
The season begins with the NSIC/MIAA Crossover in Kansas City, Mo. MSU faces S&T at noon on Nov. 13 and takes on Washburn at 4 p.m. Nov. 14.
The Mavericks’ home opener is set for 7 p.m. on Nov. 17 against Dakota State. After that it’s a trip to Wisconsin to compete in the Dells Classic. The Mavericks will face Lake Superior State on Nov. 20 and face Northern Michigan on Nov. 21.
MSU stays on the road to face St. Cloud State on Nov. 24. The Mavericks return home to host Waldorf on Nov. 28.
The Mavericks have three home games slated for the Month of December. Concordia-St. Paul rolls to Taylor Center on Dec. 5, Southwest Minnesota State arrives on Dec. 17 and Sioux Falls enters Mankato on Dec. 19. December road games for the Mavericks include Winona State (Dec. 5), Wayne State (Dec. 10) and Augustana (Dec. 12).
The new year starts with three-straight home games for the Mavericks. St. Cloud State comes to town on Jan. 2, Minot State arrives Jan. 8 and University of Mary enters Taylor Center Jan. 9. The Mavericks also host MSU Moorhead Jan. 22 and Minnesota Crookston Jan. 23.
The Mavericks hit the road to face Bemidji State (Jan. 15) and Minnesota Duluth (Jan. 16). They also venture to Jamestown (Jan. 29) and Northern State (Jan. 30).
MSU’s month of February features three home and three road tilts. The Mavericks will trip to Sioux Falls (Feb. 4), Southwest Minnesota State (Feb. 6) and Concordia-St. Paul (Feb. 18). Home games in February will feature showdowns against Augustana (Feb. 11), Wayne State (Feb. 13) and Winona State for its regular season finale (Feb. 20).
The first round of the NSIC Tournament is scheduled for Feb. 24 and will be hosted on campus sites. The final three rounds of the NSIC Tournament will be held from Feb. 27 — March 2 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The NCAA Central Region Tournament will be held on March 13-16, with its location to be determined, while the NCAA Elite Eight will take place at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind., from March 23-27.
