Traveling author Jo McDivitt comes this morning to The Meridian Railroad Museum, regaling the life and times of Mississippi favorite son, Tennessee Williams.
The novella is entitled, “Return to The Glass Menagerie.” and the read is as delightful as it sounds.
As part of the plot, there is a homecoming which takes place at the Big White House located on a hill in Blue Mountain, Mississippi. Amanda Wingfield comes at last to her beloved home to begin a surprising new life.
Also, there is a surprise reawakening romance included in the story with a shocking climax!
I can’t give away the entire plot-line but perhaps spirits linger among the halls of the Big White House.
Jo McDivitt is a charming southern belle, a native Mississippian, who has traveled the world and as well she is a friend. The two of us met in a Mississippi library (wouldn’t you know?) many years ago and immediately became soul-sisters. I am thrilled to have her as a guest in the railroad museum this morning.
It was at the “No Refuge But Writing” event in New York City, a tribute to Tennessee Williams, when McDivitt was inspired to pen “Return to The Glass Menagerie.”
Please, dear readers, don’t miss this opportunity to peek into the world of Tennessee Williams as written by a great Mississippi writer.
