Mark McNulty is Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity’s February Volunteer of the Month.
Originally from Illinois, McNulty has lived in Crossville for about two and a half years. He volunteers a few hours each week as part of the Family Partnership committee, where he mentors Habitat homebuyers as they navigate the building and learning process.
McNulty was selected because of his excellent work with the Read family for the last year as they acquired the self-improvement and sweat equity required to complete the program to become homeowners.
When asked what he loves about volunteering, Mark said, “seeing the outcome of each family completing the process and seeing them receive their keys to their new home.”
Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. They aim to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter, believing that affordable housing is essential for strong and stable communities.
