Three different Methuen (4-3) players had multiple points in the MVC shutout victory. Andy Rodriguez led the way with a goal and two assists, while, Yaseen Diriki had two goals and Leo Herrera finished with a goal an assist. Gilmer Herrera chipped in with one helper. Goalies Dylan Gavin (5 saves) and Matthew Marni were strong in the net.
Billerica 2, Haverhill 1
The Hillies played their best game of the season but fell short against a strong Indians’ team. Evan Ortins scored his first varsity goal with Josh Irakunda providing the assist.
Keeper Jonathan Matombo was once again excellent, making 18 saves. “He’s had an unbelievable season,” said head coach Eric Perkins.
North Andover 4, Lawrence 0
The Scarlet Knights (6-3-1) won again, and now have gone 5-0-1 in their last six games. Captain Trevor Hunter led the offense with three goals, while, captain Nathan Solivan had the other. Dunny Murphy added two assists and Liam Delaney picked up one. Goalies James Yonchak and Max Polonsky combined for the shutout.
Central Catholic 1, Chelmsford 1
Evan D’Agata scored his first varsity goal to help the Raiders tie a strong Lions team in a MVC match-up. Osvin Merida had the assist. Goalie Tristan White made six saves.
Windham 2, Manchester Memorial 0
Noah Bustamante and Cole Partington scored second half goals to lift Windham (4-4-2) to the much needed victory. John Durkin picked up an assist and goalie Matt Moseley made three saves for his second shutout.
Loagin Carter and Rocco Ponzini played well defensively.We’re fighting for every point. I’m proud of the way we kept our composure in a tough atmosphere,” said head coach Mike Hachey.
Pinkerton Academy 3, Bishop Guertin 0
The Astros won two games on two nights by a combined score of 7-0. In this win, Andrew Perfetto, Ryan Oliviera (first varsity) and Jack Welch had single goals, while, Hayden Marshall, Welch and Ethan Bellows added one assist each.Goalies Rolston Ladd (2 saves) and Dylan Devold combined for the shutout.
Girls Soccer
Bow 5, Pelham 0
Hailey Davis was busy in the net making 12 saves, and in front of her, Khloe Letourneau, Jessie Phillips and Kayli Milward all played well.
Bishop Guertin 4, Pinkerton 3
In a wild back-and-forth game, the Cardinals edged the Astros in a big NH Division I contest. Cara Mahn netted two goals and Kayla Silveira had the other, while assists went to Audrey Earehart and Silveira.
Timberlane 1, Concord 1
Alli Harb found the back of the net on an assist from Jill Caruso as the teams ended in a tie. Goalie Bella Johnson was strong between the posts making eight stops.
North Andover 7, Lawrence 0
Brinley Derosier scored her first three goals of her career — all coming in this game — tlo lead the Scarlet Knights. Nicole Daley, Lila Credi, Whitney Smith and Emma Rasanen had the other goals. Katerine Fry had two helpers, while, Vanessa Mabley, Caitlin Scurry and Mia Bono had one each.
Billerica 3, Haverhill 2
The Hillies were edged out by a strong Billerica team. Makaylla Cederman and Aleigh Gonzalez had the tallies, while, they both assisted on one another’s goals. The defense played well in front of goalie Fran Purdy (10 saves).
Chelmsford 1, Central Catholic 0
The Raiders (5-4-1/4-1-1) were defeated in league play for the first time this season by a strong Lions’ team. Sarah Parker made three saves in the net.
Dracut 3, Methuen 2
The Middies pulled out a surprising win over the Rangers (6-2-1). Methuen goals were scored by Lexi McKenna and Courtnee Pickles, while, Bella Fiore had an assist. Goalie Bella Medeiros made six saves.
Greater Lawrence 3, Cathedral 1
The Reggies defense was strong throughout the game led by Jadaliss Montero, while offensively, the combination of Soanni Hoskins (1 goal, 2 assists) and Carmela Bellitti (2 goals, 1 assists) provided all of the scoring once again.

Held at the par-36, Atkinson Resort and Country Club, winners for the Raiders (11-1) were Harry Garland (3&2, 36), Jake Morowski and Dom Santo, (2 up), and Finn Rourke (4&2).
Andover 11, Haverhill 8
Winners for the Golden Warriors were Lucas Jenny (4&3, 37), James Dunham (1 up, 42), Brady Maggio (3&1, 40), Will Norris (4&3, 41) and Kathryn Ventura (5&4, 41).
Haverhill (3-6) winners were Tommy Murphy (2&1, 1-under, 35), Joe Simoneau (1 up, 41) and Joe Bednarek (1 up, 46).
Volleyball
Greater Lawrence Tech 3, Somerville 0
The Reggies improved to 7-4 with a three-set sweep, 25-16, 25-15 and 25-20.
Leading the way for Greater Lawrence were Mia Reynoso with 11 service points incuding four aces, Maria Rosario with five kills, Trinity Figueroa with two blocks, Asmeily Anziani and Nicole Guerrero with seven kills each and Ilaisha Taveras finished with eight digs.
Andover 3, Dracut 0
Andover made quick work of the Middies, winning 25-15, 25-14 and 25-15 to improve to 7-5 on the season. Megan Durant led in kills with nine, followed by Jessie Wang with eight and Audrey Thoma with seven. Tina Zheng finished with 21 assists as the setter, Kate Hilson had ten digs and the combination of Hilson and Naomi Vajada combined for 36 service points, including 17 aces, with Hilson ending with a dozen. Leah Satlow added two blocks.

The Wildcats were swept by scores of 25-19, 26-24 and 25-20.
Field Hockey
Andover 5, Acton-Boxboro 0
It was all Andover in this non-league game, led by two goals each from Bella DiFiore and Caroline Vaughn, while, Chloe Broderick had the other.
DiFiore also had two assists, while, Broderick, Lucy MacLean and Ella Sewall had one each.
Great work from Mia Giaimo and MacLean in the midfield, as well as Scarlet Glass, who led a defense who limited AB to just one shot.

Pinkerton 5, Timberlane 0
Jaelyn Crossman had a career day, scoring all five goals for the Astros in the New Hampshire Division I contest. Cayden Madeiros dished out two assists, while, Hannah Lisauskas and Meaghan Shea had one each, while she also had a defensive save. Goalie Molly Kuncik made three saves for the shutout.
Also playing well were Gwen Lee and Jada Vasquez on the forward line and Ayvree Hamilton on the defensive line.
Pelham 7, Conval 1
Seven different players found the back of the net for the Pythons with Cassidy Harrington, Kylie Almeida, Jordan Robito, Mya Dion, Makenzie Comtois and Katelyn Hawley. Lyla Prince had two assists, while, Almeida and Sarah Coppinger had one each.
Salem 2, Manchester Central 1
Avery Aliberti scored both goals, while teammate Lexi Whipple assisted on both to lead the Blue Devils to the win.
Central Catholic 5, Westford Academy 4
Senior Kerri Finneran ignited the Central (9-0-1) offense scoring four goals, while, Alex Kohalmi had the other. Franchesca Thurston, Liz Medford and Celinna Perham had one assist each. Goalie Ava Perrotta didn’t see any action but takes home the shutout win.
St. Mary’s 2, North Andover 0
The Scarlet Knights (3-4-1) couldn’t get anything offensively in the non-league loss. Sofia Bea made nine saves in net.
Girls Soccer
Whittier Tech 2, Northeast 0
The Wildcats improved to 6-2-2 on the season with a CAC victory over Northeast. Kamryn Eaton notched two goals, giving her ten on the season, while, Miley Clancy had the other. Goalie Cali Moore made four saves to record the win.
Newton North 2, Central Catholic 1
The Raiders (5-3-1 overall, 4-0-1 in MVC) were edged out in the non-league game. Lucy Irwin scored the lone goal for the Raiders, her 11th of the season, on a set-up from Alyssa Furtado. Goalie Sarah Parker played well making seven stops.
Pinkerton 6, Alvirne 0
Six different players found the back of the net for the Astros with Kayla Silveira, Makenzie Bergevine, Audrey Earehart, Verity Ungaro, Nora Brayall and Bella Sippel. Collecting single assists were Sippel, Cami McNulty, Riley McClellan and Lexi Doyle. Goalie Sydney Mlynarski made one save for the shutout victory.

The Golden Warriors (6-5) came away with the convincing three-set sweep by scores of 25-14, 25-18 and 25-9. Playing well for Andover were Jessie Wang (11 kills), Naomi Vajada (7 kills, 2 blocks), Tina Zheng (23 assists, 24 service points and 9 aces), Megan Durant (9 digs) and Kate Hilson (8 digs).
For Lawrence (1-9), Santa De Leon had six kills and one ace, Rachelle Torres had ten assists and one block, Josairi Vargas had four serving points and Haneliz Frias added four digs.

The Hillies were swept (25-15, 25-17 and 25-18) in the non-league match. Gabby Burdier led the way with ten kills, eleven digs and one ace. Olivia Lesswing added nine assists and Cecily Russell had three blocks.

The Blue Devils prevailed (25-20, 25-18 and 25-15) behind the strong play from Madi Mohan (9 kills, 10 digs and 3 aces), Grace Hoover (7 kills) and Marina D’Amico (10 assists and 2 aces).

The Astros (8-3) had a number of strong performances in the three-set sweep (25-20, 25-21 and 25-13). Maddie Andrade contributed in all different ways with 14 service points with three aces, eight kills and ten digs. Lucy Denu had nine service points and ten assists, Kara Porter had three aces and dished out a dozen assists. Izzy McIntyre and Molly Jones combined for 12 kills, Brooke Little served three aces, Aaliyah Gooden had three blocks and Calli Miller finished with 12 digs.

Contributing in the win were Ella Conrad (14 kills, 2 blocks), Maddie Begley (32 assists and 4 aces), as well as Ryleigh Jacobs and Kate LeClair, who both finished with seven kills and two blocks.

Windham’s Ethan Peluso was low medalist with a plus-one, 36, while, Cassidy Gallant finished with a 37 and Thomas Manning had a four-over 40.
For Salem, Lincoln Freitas led with a 39, followed by Logan Smith (41), Jakob Robblee (38), Mike Daigle (39) and James Houghton and Tyler Pizzano (40).

Timberlane swept the quad match behind Breckin O’Connor, as he finished with a 41.

Held at the par-36 Hoodkroft Country Club, Pinkerton (11-9) swept the tri-match behind the play of Connor Urnek (37), EJ Baker (39), Cam Burke and Tyler Morin (40) and Johnny Barbarossa (41).

The Astros (4-2-2) were in complete command the entire game as Hayden Marshall scored two goals and assisted on another, while, Andrew Perfetto and Phoenix Beaulieu had one each. Ethan Fonseca and Beaulieu had one helper each. Goalies Rolston Ladd and Dylan Devold combined for the shutout, both making one save.
Freshman Ryan Olivierra also played well.
Cross-Country
The Pinkerton girls and boys cross-country teams both participated and won the Kennett Invitational Meet held on Saturday.
The girls finished with 18 points, followed by Portsmouth (59), Plymouth (68), Kennett (97) and Kingswood (155). Sophomore Sookie Folsom won her second race of the week with a time of 19:32. She was followed by junior captain Gabby Bedard (2nd, 19:57), senior Althea LeBlanc (4th, 20:33), junior Parker Knowlton (5th, 20:50) and junior Kali Marzolf (6th, 21:21).
Senior Captains Ava Mohammed (21:38, 53 second personal record) and Mia Eckerman (21:45, 20 second personal record) both turned in outstanding performances.
On the boys side, Pinkerton finished with 20 points, well ahead of the other seven participating teams. Sean Hayes was second overall in 16:27.80 and was followed by Oscar D’Amelio (3rd, 16:34.68), Trainor Mailloux (4th, 16:44.20), Austin Cipriano (5th, 17:01.06) and Joseph Gustavson (6th, 17:14.57.
