NEWBURYPORT – Newburyport poet John Burciaga celebrates the publication of his new book, “Poetry That Matters,” with a signing event Sunday, Dec. 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Illume Bookstore in Market Square, Newburyport. In addition to being a regular Daily News of Newburyport columnist, Burciaga leads a popular poetry group at the Senior/Community Center. He is also a gallerist for NU Kitchen’s art-space, where he solo-exhibits his poetry annually during National Poetry Month.
