The Laurens/Milford girls basketball team recovered from a slow start on Wednesday to defeat Edmeston/Morris 45-37 and earn an important Tri-Valley League win.
After being held to just two points in the first quarter, L/M went into halftime down 20-18 and took the lead for good in the third quarter.
Bella Garlick finished with 15 points and five rebounds in the win, Brooke Mann scored 14 points, Kyrah Andrades netted nine and Bella Strong pulled down 10 rebounds.
Brenna Bolton led E/M with 12 points while Haylie Lund added 11.
Laurens/Milford (10-4 overall, 6-0 TVL) will visit Franklin on Friday while E/M (9-4, 6-1) will host Schenevus the same day.

Delhi 63, Oxford 53
The Delhi boys held off Oxford 63-53 at home on Wednesday in a battle for first place in the Midstate Athletic Conference.
Seamus deMauro notched a double-double in the win with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Also contributing for the Bulldogs were Rocco Schnabel with 15 points and six rebounds and Ivan Richardson with 11 points and eight rebounds.
Leading Oxford with 11 points apiece were Gordon Smith and Donovan Rickard.
Delhi (10-4 overall, 7-0 MAC) will host Afton on Thursday while Oxford (8-4, 5-2) will host Unatego/Franklin on Friday.

Oneonta wrestling coach John Nealis recorded his 300th career victory on Wednesday as the Yellowjackets defeated Duanesburg-Schoharie 57-12 in their Senior Night match.
Senior captains Marshall Mahar (116 pounds) and Reilly Waltz (170) each won by pin to help OHS secure the win. Oneonta’s other victories came courtesy of Henry Mahar (124), Isaac Gray (145) and Trey Jervis (160).
Oneonta is 13-7 in dual meets this season and will host the Class A sectional qualifiers on Saturday, Feb. 8.

Oneonta 119, Windsor 65
The Oneonta boys swim team improved to 4-1 on the season Wednesday with a 119-65 victory over Windsor.
Bryson Huber, Cyrus Wightman and Logan Temming each won two individual events for the Yellowjackets: Huber took first in the 200 and 500 freestyle swims, Wightman won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly and Temming was first in the 50 and 100 freestyle races.
Other individual wins for OHS came from Dylan Shaughnessy (diving), Jason Miller (100 backstroke) and Nason Renne (100 breaststroke). Oneonta also won all three relay events.
The Yellowjackets will host Chenango Forks next Tuesday.
