FAVORITE SUBJECT:
My favorite subject in school was anatomy and physiology. I love learning about the body and the ways that it works. Especially with being an athlete, I learned a lot about recovery and how to read your body. I’ve learned so much that I can apply it to my everyday life.
BEST ADVICE YOU’D GIVE AN INCOMING FRESHMAN:
Don’t take your time for granted. Enjoy every single day because in the next four years, you’ll find your true self and who you really want to be in life. Take every failure as a lesson to help you better yourself and maximize every opportunity because you cannot get this time back.
THE BALANCE OF BEING A SUCCESSFUL STUDENT-ATHLETE:
To be a successful student athlete you have to make sure you have a great balance of academics and athletics. You need to be someone who commits to achieving their goals in athletics and academics. Being a successful student athlete will help you develop skills and a mindset to excel in all areas of your life.
WHAT ‘SUCCESS’ MEANS TO ME:
Success to me means accomplishing my goals. Success is not only about money or a high social status. Success also means living peacefully and happily. Success to me means that I am in a position where I can help anyone and everyone as well as being in a position to make a difference.
FAVORITE MOMENT AS AN ATHLETE:
My favorite high school moment was the the fall of 2022. My Brooks football team won the Dave Coratti Bowl and we became NEPSAC champions. We dedicated the season to our teammate Preston Settles, whom we lost earlier in the year. It was special.
BEST ADVICE YOU EVER GOT FROM A COACH:
The best advice I’ve gotten from a coach is “Worry about now!” This means so much to me because most of my life I focused on what’s next and never really focused on what was happening in the present. I used to focus on what I wanted to do and not take time to appreciate the process. The process to achieve my goals is what shapes me to be the person I am and the person I should be to reach that goal. I thank coach Jason Fielding with PAC Performance for giving me that advice.
MY HERO IS … :
My hero is my grandmother. She came to this country alone to give my family a better opportunity to succeed in life. She has worked so hard and continues to work hard to make sure our family has everything we need. She is my hero because when I look at her, I see no excuses. All I see when I look at my grandmother is hope. She believed in herself and her abilities to be able to make a better living for our family. and now I know it’s my turn to finish her job and take it to levels unimaginable.
IN 10 YEARS I HOPE TO …:
I hope to be in a position where I can help kids and communities who are not as fortunate earn opportunities to reach their goals and help better themselves as humans. I hope to be in a position where the younger generations and even older generations can come to me with whatever they have/need and I can be able to help them, guide them, and point them towards success.
