EAGLE LAKE — An Iowa man was hospitalized after a collision with a Wisconsin semi driver at the intersection of Highways 60 and 14 east of Eagle Lake Tuesday afternoon.
Zachary Joseph Hauptmann, 25, of Algona was transported to the Mankato hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the 3:55 p.m. crash.
Hauptmann was southbound on Highway 60 in a 2008 Chevy Impala, attempting to continue south past Highway 14 on 615th Avenue, when the Chevy collided with a 2017 Volvo tractor being driven east on Highway 14 by Gregory James Werner, 56, of Niagara, Wisconsin, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
Both men were wearing seat belts. Werner was not injured.
