Registration is open for a July 29 golf tournament that’s an annual fundraiser the St. Peter-based Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps.
“Golfin’ With the Govies” is to take place at Shoreland Golf Club in St. Peter.
Proceeds from the four-person, 18-hole, scramble tournament go to support the activities of the group, whose members range from novice musicians to others with years of semi-professional performance experience. Founded in 1927, the corps continues to take part in parades, state competitions and performance trips.

MS Ride Across Minnesota includes St. Peter
Volunteers are needed to help during a July 24 St. Peter stop for bicyclists participating in the MS Ride Across Minnesota.
The five-day bike ride that starts and stops in Northfield is a fundraiser for multiple sclerosis research.
Riders will be covering about 45-60 miles daily, then stay overnight in designated host cities. A loop option is available to bikers when they reach St. Peter.

Eagle Lake celebrating Tator Days
Eagle Lake continues its annual community celebration Wednesday through Sunday. Activities include an outdoor concert, pickleball lessons, races, tournaments and kids’ games.
The 2024 Tator Days Parade begins 1 p.m. Saturday. French fries will be served free after the parade.

Festival to feature German music
Numerous bands will perform during Bavarian Blast, an annual summer festival scheduled Wednesday through Sunday in New Ulm. Most activities take place on the Brown County Fairgrounds, 619 12th N.
