Oneonta 67, Norwich 58
Brady Carr scored a game-high 34 points as host Oneonta survived a Norwich comeback to win a Southern Tier Athletic Conference game Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Anthony C. Drago Gymnasium.
The Yellowjackets dominated the first half, scoring the first 10 points of the game, leading by as many as 21, and taking a 41-21 halftime lead. However, the Purple Tornadoes used the press to climb back into the game in the second half.
Norwich got as close as five-points several times in the fourth quarter and had several chances to make it a one-possession game. After the Tornadoes made it 63-58 on Aiden Young’s shot over Carr, Oneonta held Norwich without a point for nearly three minutes to end the game.
The Yellowjackets converted 4-for-6 from the foul line in the final minutes.
Maddox Imperato scored half of his 10 points in the final quarter, including two layups to answer Norwich baskets.
Kassen Stubb scored 24 points to lead Norwich (10-2, 2-1), which also got 15 points from Carter Chrystie.
Oneonta (10-0, 3-0) plays an STAC game at Windsor on Friday, Jan. 16.

Bailey Thayer had a game-high 19 points as host Cherry Valley-Springfield won a Tri-Valley League game against Sharon Springs on Wednesday.
Peyton Barbic scored 16 points to lead the Spartans, which also got nine points from Zarie Barbic.
MacKenzie McGovern scored nine points for the Patriots, which also got eight points from Emily Fox and seven points from Allie Ackerman.
Cherry Valley-Springfield (9-2, 3-0) plays at Worcester for a Tri-Valley League game Friday, Jan. 16.
Sharon Springs (6-3, 0-2) hosts Schenectady for a non-league game Thursday, Jan. 15.

Azaleah Lorette scored eight points to lead Worcester (0-10, 0-3), which hosts Cherry Valley-Springfield on Friday.
Claire Clark scored 15 points for CV/S, which also got 14 points from Carleigh Reed.

Cooperstown 5, Waterville 0
Anthony McCoy rolled a 632 series as host Cooperstown stayed undefeated with a Center State Conference Division II win over Waterville on Wednesday at The Clark Sports Center.
Kaden Card had a 584 series for the Hawkeyes, which got a 570 series from Joey Paterno.
Cooperstown (7-0, 6-0) plays a division game at New York Mills on Friday.
