The Northeastern Conference released its annual girls soccer all-star teams and a pair of Gloucester standouts were deservedly honored.
Senior captains Taiya Mano, a midfielder and striker, and Skye Ciolino, a center midfielder, were both named Lynch Division all-stars.
Mano led the Fishermen in scoring this fall, dropping in 11 goals to go with a eight assists. Ciolino was one of the team’s top facilitators and vocal leaders, chipping in eight assists as well to go with a goal. The talented duo helped Gloucester win four conference games and snare two draws en route to a second place finish in the Lynch Division, behind only Saugus.
Danvers’ Georgia Prouty, who was also named an All-American, was tabbed the NEC Player of the Year. Prouty has 28 goals and counting for the Falcons, who remain alive in the Division 3 state tournament.
