The Gloucester High field hockey team may be young, but that hasn’t stopped them from competing at a high level once again this fall.
Taking on a scrappy Peabody team on Friday afternoon, the Fishermen secured a 2-0 shutout to climb back over the .500 mark at 4-3. Junior goalie Keagan Jewell secured another shutout in net, while classmate Elliana Parsons and sophomore Julia Palk scored the goals.
Gloucester has just one senior on its roster (Ivana Ferrara), and currently has five freshmen, eight sophomores and seven juniors making up the rest of the team.
