Cumberland County Assessor of Property, Sandy Gilbert, has decided not to seek further employment and announced she is retiring after 34 years of service in the office.
Gilbert said, “It has been an honor serving the people of Cumberland County. I have met many wonderful people over the years and made many friends during my tenure. There are great people in the office that I have enjoyed working with.”
Gilbert said she plans to get involved in volunteer work to help others. A retirement celebration for Gilbert will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 2-4 p.m. at the Cumberland County Assessor of Property Office at 2 S. Main St., Ste. 101. Light refreshments will be served, and all are welcome to visit.
