OAKLAND — An Oakland woman was sentenced to five years in prison after admitting to possessing methamphetamine.
Melissa Ann Wilson pleaded guilty Jan. 22 in Garrett County Circuit Court to one count of possession with intent to distribute the drug, State’s Attorney Christian Mash said.
Wilson was arrested in July 2024 during a traffic stop by the county sheriff’s office. Inside the vehicle, deputies found a large Ziploc-style bag containing several smaller bags of methamphetamine, Mash said. Narcotics officers also located electronic communications in which Wilson discussed the sale of methamphetamine.
Wilson had a previous conviction for the same charge.
