TRAVERSE CITY — The Garfield/Potter road roundabout will open two weeks ahead of schedule, the Grand Traverse County Road Commission reported in a news release Wednesday.
The intersection will reopen at 4 p.m. in time to handle rush-hour traffic Thursday, according to Road Commission Manager Dan Watkins.
The $1.4 million project was originally slated for completion on June 25.
Costs of the project were split between the road commission and a federal program for high-risk rural roads. Team Elmer’s constructed the roundabout.
