UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A woman died and three others were injured in a utility terrain vehicle crash late Friday in Fulton County, according to Orleans Volunteer Fire Department Chief John Clingerman.
The crash occurred near the intersection of Buck Valley Road and Negro Mountain Road just before midnight, Clingerman said.
“The first arriving officer reported a serious crash involving a UTV that had rolled over and requested three additional medic units,” Clingerman said. “…bringing ambulances from Clear Spring and Cresaptown, who responded from the hospital.”
Fire department and emergency services units from Allegany and Washington counties in Maryland, Fulton County and Morgan County, West Virginia, responded to the incident.
Clingerman said a pediatric patient was flown by Conemaugh Medstar 1 helicopter to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, in critical condition and two adults were transported to UPMC Western Maryland in Cumberland in stable condition by ambulances from Flintstone and Clear Spring.
Union Township, located in Fulton County, borders eastern Allegany and western Washington counties in Maryland.
The Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the crash.
