FROSTBURG — For the second time this season, Frostburg State’s Cat Smith was named the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Smith led the Bobcat defense (9-1-1, 7-1-1 MEC) to a 4-0 clean sheet over Davis & Elkins and a 2-1 victory over Concord.
Smith scored the final goal against the Senators and attempted three shots.
Her defensive efforts led to the Senators only attempting three shots on goal.
Against the Mountain Lions, Smith played 90 minutes and helped Frostburg hold Concord to three shots on goal.
The Bobcats head to West Virginia State on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
