FROSTBURG — Frostburg State set a program record with 17 3-pointers in a game, leading to a 107-70 win over Point Park on Saturday.
The Bobcats (8-8, 5-4 Mountain East Conference) hit 15 triples three times in program history, most recently on Feb. 19, 2022, against Wheeling.
The 107 points were also the most for Frostburg since the season-opener on Nov. 17, 2017, against Case Western Reserve. The Bobcats won that game 115-107 in double overtime.
Chase Whippen knocked down six shots from beyond the arc and finished with 22 points.
JayShaun Freeman buried four triples and scored a game-high 28 points, adding eight rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block.
Koby Baptiste finished with 27 points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The Pioneers (9-7, 4-6 MEC) had four scorers in double figures.
Aiden Miller led Point Park with 15 points, Aidan Anderson added 14, Rob Keys scored 13 and Nazareth Fisher finished with 10.
Fisher added eight rebounds while Anderson grabbed seven boards and Miller recorded six.
The Bobcats travel to West Virginia Wesleyan on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
Potomac State 88 Prince George’s 70
LARGO — Potomac State led 35-33 at halftime, but outscored Prince George’s 53-37 in the second half to pull away and win on Saturday.
Camren Wilkes scored a game-high 30 points for the Catamounts (9-8, 7-3 NJCAA Region 20). He scored 17 in the second half and also recorded nine rebounds, five assists, three steals and three blocks.
Damian Thompson scored 15 after halftime and finished with 20 points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals.
Eugene Bryant scored 11 of his 13 points in the second half, also recording seven rebounds and a steal.
Cayden Faucett and Yanis Youbi each scored 10 points with Youbi adding seven boards and a block.
Jailin Landis led the Owls (8-6, 3-5 Region 20) with 22 points and two steals.
Lynn King III added 14 points, six rebounds and two blocks while Casheus Covington scored 10 with five rebounds and five assists.
The Catamounts head to Butler County on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Chesapeake 99 Garrett 61
WYE MILLS — All five of Chesapeake’s starters finished in double figure scoring, with one more off the bench hitting the milestone as the Skipjacks (13-3, 5-3 Region 20) routed Garrett on Saturday.
Shaft Clark led all scorers with 19 points, adding six rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block.
Willie Jones scored 18 with five assists and three rebounds while Ashton Pratt added 13 points, five boards and two steals.
La’Shaun Moody finished with 12 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals while Elijah Credle scored 11 and Brandon Hooks added 10 points with seven assists and three blocks.
Kobe Edwards was the only Laker (12-5, 7-3 Region 20) in double figures with 11 points.
Garrett hosts No. 16 Montgomery (15-3, 7-0 Region 20) on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
