PITTSBURGH — Koby Baptiste surpassed his career-high with 28 points, leading Frostburg State to an 80-73 win at Point Park on Saturday.
Baptiste beat his previous best of 27 points in the first meeting against the Pioneers (10-16, 4-18 Mountain East Conference) on Jan. 18.
Baptiste grabbed seven rebounds with two steals and a block for the Bobcats (12-14, 8-10 MEC).
Chase Whippen scored 18 points with five boards while Trey Simmons finished with 16 points.
Nathaniel Van led Point Park with 20 points followed by Nazareth Fisher’s 18, Aiden Miller’s 17 and Nick Marshall’s 12.
Fisher grabbed 12 rebounds with a block while Miller and Marshall each had eight boards.
The Bobcats led 36-34 at halftime and outscored the Pioneers 44-39 in the second half.
Frostburg travels to Davis & Elkins on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
WVU Potomac State 91, Anne Arundel 52
ARNOLD — WVU Potomac State College dominated the glass and the scoreboard, cruising to a win over Anne Arundel on Saturday.
The Catamounts (17-11, 13-6 NJCAA Region 20) out-rebounded the Seahawks (3-18, 1-16 Region 20) 58-24 including 25-5 on offense.
Potomac State had five players score in double figures led by Damian Thompson’s 16 points.
Camren Wilkes and Yanis Youbi scored 14 each, followed by Avion Blackwood’s 13 and Eugene Bryant’s 12.
Bryant grabbed 11 boards including five on offense.
Julius Gardner paced Anne Arundel with 13 points, followed by Angelo Harris (11) and Luke Bunn (10).
The Catamounts end the regular season on Wednesday at home against Beaver (Pa.) County at 7 p.m.
