FROSTBURG — After a year at Frostburg State, Shaun Weaver is returning to Albright College as the head football coach.
Weaver spent this season as the defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator in Frostburg.
Weaver coached three All-Mountain East Conference honorees this season.
Yasir Holmes and Leonard Scott were first-team selections.
Holmes led the MEC with eight sacks and was second with 18.5 tackles for loss.
Scott finished fourth in the conference with 10.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
Delonta Butler earned a honorable mention selection with 24 tackles and four tackles for loss.
Weaver spent the previous four seasons at Albright where he coached five players to All-MAC (Middle Atlantic Conference) honors.
Under Weaver’s coaching, Sam Viera broke the program’s record with 385 tackles while Ryan Rapp set the single-season sack record with 12.5.
Weaver joined Albright in 2020 after 14 seasons at Gettysburg College and coached 18 players to All-Centennial Conference selections.
Weaver will coach two Fort Hill graduates in Deshaun Brown and Jaylan Atkinson.
Atkinson played in five games this season and recorded two tackles while Brown did not appear in a game.
