BOYS SOCCER
Peabody 2, Saugus 1: Longtime head coach Stan McKeen earned the 300th victory of his storied career on the sidelines as Jason Decost netted the game-winning goal and Diego Lemus also scored. Jayden Lopez, Marshall Simpson, Thad Broughton, Marc Smith, Cameron Fletcher and Julio Campbui all played well for the victorious Tanners.
Danvers 6, Salem 1: Luca Tirella scored four goals, with a hat trick in the second half, as Danvers broke open a game that was tied at the break. Luke Hertigan and freshman Andrew Morse also scored, Gianluca Locilento had three assists and Kyle Sillars and Luca D’Angelo played great.
Masconomet 2, Newburyport 1: Enzo Nteta scored both goals for the Chieftains (12-2) with both coming in the last six minutes in a come-from-behind effort. Sam Costa and Matteo Stefanelli had the assists while John Green, Nate Mzoczek, Timmy Lull, Sam Costa, and Luke Fiedler all turned in strong efforts.
GIRLS SOCCER
Beverly 6, Gloucester 0: Jaydin Simpson and Olivia Anketell scored two goals each and the Panthers improved to 11-4-2. Avery Fogarty added a goal and an assist, Sasha Miller netted her first varsity goal, Grace Williams added an assist in addition to a strong effort in the and Clara Kostro posted her eighth shutout.
Masconomet 4, Swampscott 0: Ella Cammarata scored twice and the Chieftains (13-2) extended their winning streak to eight while sealing at least a share of the NEC Dunn title. Violet Malinowski had two assists, Cate Shaffer added a goal and an assist and Ava Wexler also scored while Evy Mills posted another shutout. Eve Bryne well in net for the NEC Lynch leading Big Blue (6-4-3).
Mystic Valley 2, Essex Tech 1: Val Mitchell scored thanks to a pass from Evie Bennett but the Hawks (4-10-1) dropped their sixth in a row. Also playing well were Makayla Downing and Julia Kallianidis.
Pingree 4, Newton Country Day 0: Sydney Rech had a hat trick with all three goals assisted by Shauna O’Brien as the Highlanders (9-2) won their fifth in a row. Emma Gilpin also scored with an assist from Andi Ferry and Summer Elward (five saves) and Julia Bradley (four) shared the shutout.
FIELD HOCKEY
Beverly 7, Peabody 0: Sophie Rouisee scored twice and added one assist while sophomore Keira MacNutt had her first varsity goal and assist as the Panthers (10-4-1) rolled. Fiona Bazin, Gwen Jones, Ashley Wallace and, with her first varsity goal, sophomore Caroline Blank also scored for BHS, with assists going to Avery LeBlanc (2), Ellie Fisher (2), and Bazin. Charlotte Stevens (1 save) and Lauren Conant shared the shutout in net.
Senior captains Karley O’Connor and Chris Troncoso (2 defensive saves) played extremely well in their final home game for the Tanners. Junior captain Sophia Kassis finished with 13 saves in net, while another captain, Elizabeth Moore, had a defensive save of her own and Amayah Francher added one in both the first and fourth quarters.
Masconomet 2, Marblehead 0: Olivia Tsoukalas scored her 13th goal of the season while Maddy Regan popped in her fifth as the Chieftains remained unbeaten (14-0-2) on the season. Ava Gauvain (2) and Sophia Carson had assists and Sabrina Cafarelli finished with seven saves to earn her ninth shutout.
Elizabeth Hayes made half a dozen stops in net for the Magicians (7-6-2), who played an excellent game defensively after losing their first matchup vs. Masconomet by eight goals. Among the standouts were Emma Ryan, Zoe Dwyer, Sadie Beane, Addie Rotigliano, Keliane Salem, Julia Mann, Carolyn Black and Shea Bickell.
Ipswich 2, Hamilton-Wenham 1: The Tigers took this battle of arch rivals behind one goal and one assist from Ella McCarthy and six saves from captain Abbie Allen. Soren Sherear, a senior, added the eventual game-winning goal for Ipswich, and Julia Hubbard also picked up an assist.
VOLLEYBALL
Swampscott 3, Beverly 0: Senior Jamie Andrews had 11 digs and two aces and the Big Blue swept 25-23, 25-15, 25-21. Sophomore Dana Bereznyakov also played well with six aces and four digs. Sophia Balducci played a strong match for the Panthers.
Peabody 3, Georgetown 0: Senior captain Lizzy Bettencourt had 15 kills and Kaylee DiNicola delivered five kills and nine service points and the Tanners (10-7) officially clinched a spot in the Division 1 state playoffs. Mazkenzie Landry had nine assists along with 15 service points as well.
Lynn Classical 3, Hamilton-Wenham 0: Grace Harres had a team-best seven kills, six digs and an ace for the Generals (7-10) and Morgan Etna added six kills and two aces and junior Abby Norris had eight digs.
Covenant Christian 3, BTA 1: The Cougars came out on top, 20-25, 25-13, 25-27, 25-10, winning the final three sets.

Rivier 4, Gordon 0: The Scots (1-15) got a 4-save effort in net from Allyson Stauffer.
