The Cumberland County School Nutrition Program’s free summer meals program is underway at various places around the county.
Each child 18 and younger will receive free breakfast and lunch, with meal pickups each Tuesday and Friday.
Three days of meals will be distributed each Tuesday, with four days of meals handed out every Friday.
A new federal regulation stipulates that a child, parent or guardian must be the person pickup up the meals.
Meal pickup locations from 10 a.m.-noon each Tuesday and Friday through July 30 include:
Crab Orchard Elementary. 240 School Rd., Crab Orchard
Cumberland County High School. 660 Stanley St., Crossville
Homestead Elementary. 3889 Hwy. 127 S. Crossville
North Cumberland Elementary. 7657 Hwy. 127 N., Crossville
Pine View Elementary. 349 Daysville Rd., Lockwood
Pleasant Hill Elementary. 486 E. Main St., Pleasant Hill
Pleasant Hill Housing Development. 23 Clearview Lane, Pleasant Hill
Stone Elementary. 1219 Cook Rd., Crossville
An additional location for meal pickup is Vandever Baptist Church at 3714 Vandever Rd., Crossville. Meals may be picked up there from 10-10-15 a.m. through June 28.
