Pleasant Hill Community Church, United Church of Christ welcomes the public to its From Baroque to Broadway community concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, in the church at 67 Church Drive.
Admission is free; donations are welcome.
Pianist Ethan Mazur and vocalist Faith Manganaro will present this first installment in the 2026 Diana Riggs Concert Series in honor of the church’s late director of music.
The Tennessee Tech University students will present “a dynamic program spanning from the brilliance of Johann Sebastian Bach and the shimmering mysticism of Alexander Scriabin to beloved art songs and operatic favorites by Franz Schubert, Giacomo Puccini, and Franz Lehár,” said church member Jan Rosemergy.
“Theatrical gems from Andrew Lloyd Webber and the comic brilliance of W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan will offer a rich and diverse experience,” she added.
Mazur, from Pagosa Springs, CO, studies under Catherine Godes at Tennessee Tech.
His collaborative career includes playing for the Tennessee Tech Concert Choir, student recitals, and debuting new chamber music. He also regularly participates in masterclasses and summer music intensives.
Manganaro is a vocal performance major at Tennessee Tech. She has been a featured soloist in both classical repertoire as well as musical theatre, playing roles such as Gabriel in Franz Joseph Haydn’s “The Creation” as well as a soprano soloist in Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana.”
She has also played Audrey in the musical “Litte Shop of Horrors,” among other featured roles.
