CUMBERLAND — Frankfort swept the 10th annual Progressive Physical Therapy Invitational held Tuesday at Allegany College of Maryland.
The rain did not slow down the runners, with several setting personal records and top 10 all-time course times.
Frankfort swept the boys and girls team titles, while Keyser took both runners-up spots.
Frankfort’s Ryan Hughes recorded the second-fastest time on the ACM course with a 16:09, winning the boys race.
Keyser’s Luca Altobello ran 16:20 for second place, and the 10th fastest time recorded at ACM.
Frankfort’s Gavin McDonald finished in third in a time of 16:26, placing 14th-best all-time.
Mac Alexander and Darius Gray took fifth and sixth, respectively, for the Falcons, with Alexander’s 16:52 beating Gray by one second.
Allegany’s Dustin Long finished seventh, running a personal best 16:56.
Rounding out the top 10 were Martinsburg’s Jordan Baker (17:34), Frankfort’s Johnny Jackson (17:44) and Musselman’s Silas Yates (17:52).
In the girls race, Musselman’s Sadie Yates ran the second-fastest recorded time on the course in 18:55.
Frankfort’s Bailey Ferguson took second with the ninth-best course time at 19:28.
Addison Tharp of the Falcons was third at 19:37, running the 11st fastest time in course history.
Fort Hill’s Kamryn Rice finished fourth at 20:05 while Frankfort’s Paisley Raines finished fifth at 20:45.
Ava Barrick from Keyser took sixth at 21 minutes while her teammate Ainsley Friend placed seventh at 22:06.
Spring Mills took the eighth and ninth spots with Grace Fling (22:31) and Rayleigh Miller (22:49).
Rounding out the top 10 was Frankfort’s Phoebe Weaver at 22:51.
The junior varsity races were won by Keyser’s Jackson Swingle (19:49) and Frankfort’s Hailey McBride (23:58).
Allegany, Bishop Walsh, Fort Hill, Frankfort, Hampshire, Keyser, Mountain Ridge, Northern, Southern and Preston will compete in the Cumberland Area Meet, to be held at ACM, on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
