CUMBERLAND — No. 2 seed Fort Hill clinched its ticket to the West Region I final on Friday, sweeping No. 6 seed Southern.
The Sentinels (14-3) swept the Rams (7-10) 25-17, 25-15 and 25-23.
Three players recorded double-doubles for Fort Hill, led by Summer Welsh who finished with 28 assists, 10 digs and eight points.
Maeleigh Plummer recorded 13 kills and 10 digs while Jovie Breitfeller contributed 16 points and 12 digs.
Tatum Bishop finished with 22 digs and six kills, Addison Furstenberg added seven kills and four blocks, Kamryn Rice had 18 digs and Talia Young had six aces.
Southern’s stats were not available.
The Rams finish the season 0-9 against WestMAC opponents.
The Sentinels will host No. 4 seed Clear Spring (12-5), the back-to-back defending Class 1A champion in the West Region I Final on Wednesday.
The Blazers defeated No. 1 seed Northern (13-3) in five sets on Friday.
