WESTERNPORT — Six Flintstone batters tallied multiple hits in a 25-1, three-inning rout of Amoroso’s in Mountain League Baseball Junior Division action on Tuesday.
Flintstone racked up 17 hits and scored five runs in the first inning, 12 in the second and eight in the third.
Carson Williams was 3 for 4 with a double and four RBIs, Weston Twigg went 2 for 3 with a triple, four RBIs and three runs, Noah Swadley tripled and scored four times, Brody Norris doubled, singled, drove in three and scored three times, Lane Humbertson had three hits, Chase Mallow went 2 for 2 with three RBIs and four runs.
Bryce Durst had three ribbies, Mason Kisamore tallied two hits and two RBIs and Brock Divelbiss doubled and drove in two.
Divelbiss picked up the win on the mound, allowing a run on three hits in three innings, striking out three and walking one.
Amoroso’s Slade Judy doubled. Briyer Cadwallader took the loss pitching.
Flintstone (7-1) hosts the Cresaptown Eagles on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Amoroso’s (3-7) head to Broadford Park to face the Westmar Builders on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Rotary 12 Hampshire 2
ROMNEY, W.Va. — Led by Anthony Hawley’s three hits, Cumberland Rotary routed Hampshire in a Junior Division game Tuesday.
Hawley added three runs to his three singles, Harvey Korb was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, and Wade Cunningham and Demarcus Isner scored three times.
Issac Broadwater was the winning pitcher, tossing 3 1/3 innings of shutout, one-hit ball in middle relief with four strikeouts to one walk.
Hampshire’s Baylor Simon was tabbed with the loss.
Cumberland Rotary (4-5) battles Bedford at Hamilton Field on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Hampshire (6-4) has a rematch with Cumberland Rotary at Hamilton Field on Friday at 6 p.m.
Westmar Builders 16 Outdoor Power 6
POTOMAC PARK — Westmar Builders had five hitters drive in two runs in a romp of Outdoor Power in a Junior Division contest on Tuesday at Holler Field.
Luke Ashby, Parker Wells, Luke Pennington, Brant Helms and Weston Craver had two RBIs each. Helms, Pennington and Craver doubled, Pennington had three hits, Wells had two knocks and four runs and Ashby singled twice and scored three times.
Helms registered as the winning arm after giving up three runs (two earned) on five hits in three innings with four strikeouts to no walks.
Bennett Wilhelm went 2 for 4 with two RBIs for Outdoor Power, Caden Hall singled twice and scored four times, and Jace Lancaster had two hits. Wilhelm was the losing pitcher.
Westmar Builders (3-4) welcomes Amoroso’s to Broadford Park on Thursday at 6 p.m.
Outdoor Power (3-6) heads to Casselman Valley on Friday at 7 p.m.
