Fairfield Glade Fire Department is welcoming three new members to its board of directors.
One of them, Fritz Ring, returns to the board after leaving a year ago due to work conflicts. Those issues are behind him now and his desire to help the department and volunteer for his community prompted his return.
Ring brings years of mediation experience along with prior service on multiple home owners association boards. He and his wife Vicki have been Glade residents since 2021.
Deborah Bormann joins the board as treasurer. She brings many years of accounting experience in government audit and the private sector. She loves being a part of the Glade community and enjoys nature and sports.
Bormann and her husband Doug relocated to the Glade this past January from the Tampa Bay, FL, area. She describes herself as a “joyful person who enjoys hard work and fun adventures.”
Shawn Trees joins the board to complete the term of Mike Godbey. He brings 35 years of firefighting, paramedic and heavy rescue experience from Columbus, OH. He and his wife Kerri moved to the Glade in 2022.
Trees’ grandfather, Jack, was a member of the FGFD back in the 1980s. Along with his aunt, Merry McMahon, that makes three generations of Trees here in the Glade.
