BUFFALO — A Falls man will spend the next 5 years in federal prison after his sentencing for a conviction on a charge of distributing methamphetamine.
U.S. District Court Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo handed down the 60-month sentence to Jevon Flynn, 30, of the Falls, for his guilty plea to a single count of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. The charge carried a possible maximum sentence of life in prison and fine of $10 million.
The sentencing took place at the federal courthouse in Buffalo.
Prosecutors said federal and local narcotics investigators executed a search warrant at a Falls home on March 26 and found Flynn in a bedroom. The investigators said Flynn had “his hands near a clothing hamper” and they recovered a backpack and a pair of pants from inside the hamper.
A search of the backpack turned up a plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine. Investigators said they also found two plastic baggies in the pair of pants.
One of the baggies contained suspected fentanyl, while the other contained blue-colored pressed pills.
A further search of the home led to the seizure of more suspected methamphetamine and 8 grams of suspected crack cocaine.
