WEST UNION, W.Va. — Shayne Sisler tossed a complete-game gem and drove in the winning run to guide East Hardy to a 3-2 win over Doddridge County in a state tournament tune-up game on Friday.
Sisler drove in Evan Hamilton, who led off the game with a solo home run, in the seventh on a sacrifice fly to plate the go-ahead run.
The right-hander then worked out of a bases-loaded jam for the win.
Evan Kelley was dealt the loss for Doddridge County. He also doubled at the plate.
East Hardy (21-9) heads to Martinsburg on Monday at 6 p.m. for another tune-up game.
