DERRY — Kids of all ages took to the streets of downtown, taking advantage of an early candy-grab with the Downtown Derry Trick-or-Treat event on Saturday morning.
The festivities started in Hood Park with the annual costume parade and contest before trick-or-treating at different businesses on West Broadway, East Broadway, Crystal Avenue and in Hood Commons on Crystal Avenue.
Hundreds of parents and children dressed up in all kinds of ghoulish costumes the parade, including Emma Knight, 8, who was dressed up as a candy vending machine.
She won the prize for Most Creative in her age group.
