District 118 learns of $18M deficit for FY24

Danville District 118 has a deficit of $18M, school board members learned at Monday’s special meeting.
The deficit, and the way it was posted online are both to be questioned, new School Board Member Christopher Easton says.
A vote to approve an amended budget with just three weeks left in the fiscal year was tabled until the June 18 meeting.
