Gloucester High School’s Class of 2027 is bringing classic country and rock music to the stage in an effort to raise money for its upcoming activities.
Outlaw country band Old Hickory Boulevard and classic rock band Kicked Off The Bus, comprised of four Gloucester High students, will be performing 7-9 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at The Cut, 177 Main St.
The show will feature songs from country and rock artists such as Chris Stapleton, Ozzie Osborne, Johnny Cash, Fleetwood Mac, Willie Nelson, Cheap Trick, Jason Isbell and Aerosmith.
Kicked Off The Bus formed in 2022 with members Brandon Blatchford on vocals, Sam Pallazolla on guitar, David Berg on bass, and Henry Goulart on drums. The band has performed at Gloucester venues Minglewood Harborside and Decklyn’s and as part of the annual Harbor Loop concert series and Gloucester Block Party.
Old Hickory Boulevard and its members Mike Goulart, Brian Tarr, Grant Harris, and Dan Liacos aim to bring outlaw country music to the Northeast and have performed for audiences all over the country.
Table and railing seating is $30 per person, standing is $22 per person and students are $10 per person. Food, bar and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.thecutlive.org or at the door.
All proceeds benefit the Class of 2027 to help offset the ticket cost of prom and other student activities through graduation.
This won’t be the Class of 2027’s last event before the end of the year. There will be a fundraiser at Jalapenos Restaurant on May 4 and a canning day April 4 at the Shaw’s supermarket in East Gloucester.
