ST. BONIFACIUS — Drew Sagedahl scored 26 points to lead Bethany Lutheran past Crown College 88-76 in an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Wednesday.
Sagedahl made three 3-pointers and was 9 of 9 at the free throw line. He also had seven rebounds.
Jax Madson added 17 points and six rebounds, and D.J. Akpati was 5 of 7 on 3-pointers to finish with 17 points. Jack Brockmann added 14 points and nine rebounds.
The Vikings, who has lost two straight games, made 13 3-pointers and were 19 of 20 at the free-throw line.
Bethany (4-10, 1-2 in UMAC) hosts Northland College on Saturday.
Women’s basketball: Bethany led 36-8 at halftime and rolled past Crown 62-30 in an UMAC game at St. Bonifacius.
The Vikings had a 43-4 advantage in bench points, led by Kenadi Arndt with 12 points. She also had six rebounds.
The Vikings (2-12, 1-2) will face Northland on Saturday at the Sports & Fitness Center.
Gustavus Adolphus
Men’s basketball: The Gusties shot 56.4% from the field and were plus-12 in rebounding in an 85-65 win over St. Mary’s in an MIAC game at Winona.
Wyatt Olson led Gustavus with 24 points, six rebounds and six assists, and Spencer Swanson added 12 points and nine rebounds. Evan Wieker scored 12 points, and Jake Schmitt hit three 3-pointers.
The Gusties (12-3, 6-0 in MIAC) host Bethel on Saturday at Gus Young Court. The Gusties are 6-0 in the MIAC for the first time since the 2000-01 season.
Women’s basketball: The Gusties started slowly but rolled in the second half, defeating St. Mary’s 71-41 in an MIAC game at Winona.
The Gusties led 28-17 at halftime but outscored St. Mary’s 22-6 in the fourth quarter.
Syd Hauger led Gustavus with 15 points, and Emma Kniefel scored 11 points with three steals. Ella Peters scored 10 points, and Izzy Quick grabbed eight rebounds.
Gustavus (14-0, 7-0) host Bethel on Saturday.
