CUMBERLAND — A city man wanted on a warrant issued last October was arrested Monday as he attempted to kick in a door of a residence in the 100 block of Memorial Avenue, according to Cumberland Police.
Responding city police officers intervened and arrested Cody G. Damon, 33, on attempted burglary and malicious destruction of property in addition to charges of issuing a false alarm and disorderly conduct in connection with an incident Oct. 27 at a Virginia Avenue business.
Police said Damon became upset at the business, threw food and then pulled a fire alarm as he was leaving the business.
Following arrest, Damon was jailed to await a district court hearing.
