AMESBURY — LUNGSTRONG and its area restaurant partners have begun their 12th annual “Cheers to a Cure” campaign to raise funds for innovative lung cancer research at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Mass General Brigham.
“From Memorial Day to Labor Day, you will be supporting LUNGSTRONG every time you order a LUNGSTRONG beverage from one of our restaurant partners,” says newly elected president of LUNGSTRONG, Jennifer Moran.
Longtime partner Ristorante Molise has already donated $1,500 from its popular St. Patrick’s Day dinner in March.
New to the “Cheers” campaign is The Juice Box, located near CrossFit Amesbury and open daily from 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.
“We created a LUNGSTRONG Luna Light smoothie and launched it on June 5th,” says owner/manager Caroline Healey. “We will be donating 25% of the Luna Light sales back to LUNGSTRONG at the end of the campaign.”
Phat Cats Bistro will be offering a blueberry lemonade while Crave will again feature the LUNGSTRONG lavender lemonade. GameTime Lanes will continue the “LUNGSTRONG Lemonade” – when you visit, be sure to check out their new simulators for a day of fun or a corporate event.
The Bakehouse has the popular LUNGSTRONG Lavender Iced Tea back on the menu this summer – and longtime partner Michael’s Harborside will be selling rum runners to benefit LUNGSTRONG.
LUNGSTRONG volunteers and friends met at Flatbreads last Thursday to promote the LUNGSTRONG “Miss Pam Spritz” and enjoy some flatbreads while listening to Music In The Millyard from the outdoor picnic tables.
All summer, LUNGSTRONG supporters promote their visits on social media and urge patrons to visit their partner restaurants and order a LUNGSTRONG specialty drink.
LUNGSTRONG is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization founded in 2011 by Amesbury’s Diane Legg, who fought Stage 4 lung cancer for 20 years before succumbing to the disease in December 2024. Since its inception LUNGSTRONG has raised over $9 million for lung cancer research. For more information, visit www.lungstrong.org.
